The ever-increasing wealth gap was listed as the number one global risk by the World Economic Forum’s 2014 Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.  This lead to the UN publishing their 17 biggest areas of need on the planet and collaborating with people and governments to work together, to focus on these 17 impacting issues.  With over 6 billion people living in poverty and over a billion people being illiterate in the world (2/3 are women and children), it is more than ever important, that we work together to improve the lives of the poorest in order to reduce the Wealth Gap.

Tekkie Tax is a national, South African fundraising initiative.  Hilda is the children’s ambassador, donating not only her own money, but also her time campaigning to improve the lives of children.  She hopes all South Africans will decide where their heart lies and donate and help the good work done by the charities supported by Tekkie Tax.
